Welcome to Childtime Centreville! My name is Rhonda and I am the director. I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a teaching certification in four states for grades pre-K through third. I have six years of experience as a Childcare center director and four years’ teaching experience at the elementary school level. I have worked in the early childhood field for 14 years.
I love my job because I enjoy interacting and building relationships with my families. I derive great joy from getting to know each child and family in my center. My true passion in life is to assist in building the educational foundation for children so that they may become successful lifelong learners. I am fully committed each and every day to making our school the best place to be for young children. I strive to excel in customer service, early education and overall safety.
Our school environment is warm, loving and nurturing. My staff is equally devoted to providing the highest standards for the children in their care. Early education is a passion for us and we strive to provide the best. I run my school as a family. The relationships with our families are our No. 1 priority. I try to create a warm, nurturing, trusting environment where children feel safe and parents feel wonderful about dropping off their children each day. All of my teachers have at least five years of experience. Call us today to see why we’re the best around!

Our Programs
At Childtime, we believe children learn best when they’re actively engaged. That’s why The Empowered Child™ curriculum ― developed by our team of education experts ― gives children the guidance and freedom to construct their own body of knowledge in ways most meaningful to them.
The Empowered Child™ is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning and is based on the work of respected child development/early education theorists Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson and Lev Vygotsky.
Infant Program:
Our specially designed infant care rooms are places where babies feel safe, secure and happy. Through simple games like peek-a-boo, our loving teachers begin the foundational work for later learning and help infants develop motor skills.
Beginning Steps / Exploration Station / Early Learners Program:
Our toddler curriculum is specially designed to engage toddlers in activities that encourage fine and gross motor skills, language development and understanding of caring relationships. A part-time program is available.
Skill Builders / Kindergarten Connection Program:
Many of our children attend full-time, but we also offer part-time programs. Our pre-kindergarten teachers have many years of experience and follow the recommended guidelines to ensure your child is prepared for their educational journey.
We partner with local elementary schools to ensure children are ready for kindergarten and have a strong foundation for their elementary years. We prepare children for kindergarten by developing the whole child. We believe that social, emotional and cognitive skills are equally important to set a strong foundation for kindergarten preparedness. Children learn foundational concepts through a variety of fun learning experiences.
School-Age Program:
Our spacious classroom allows the children to work in small or large groups on a variety of activities throughout the year. We provide homework support during the school year and a fantastic summer program filled with fun and educational fieldtrips.
