Why Us

We are committed to providing all children a strong early childhood experience at our center! Come visit us! Our center has a special classroom for each age group, ranging from infants through school-age. Our preschool through school-age classrooms have computers available for the children to use daily. We provide all children two snacks and a well-balanced lunch daily. Our school is conveniently located near the Fairfax County Parkway and Rte 50. About two years ago, our entire school was renovated, including all furniture, floors and a fresh coat of paint. Feel free to stop by anytime!

Our Programs

At Childtime, we believe children learn best when they’re actively engaged. That’s why The Empowered Child™ curriculum ― developed by our team of education experts ― gives children the guidance and freedom to construct their own body of knowledge in ways most meaningful to them.

The Empowered Child™ is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning and is based on the work of respected child development/early education theorists Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson and Lev Vygotsky.

Infant Program:

Our infant classroom serves ages 6 weeks through 12 months. We will meet with parents to discuss their child’s needs before transitioning them to our toddler classroom. Our specially designed infant care rooms are places where babies feel safe, secure and happy.

Beginning Steps / Exploration Station / Early Learners Program:

Our toddler classroom serves children ages 12 months to 23 months. We provide a 1-to-4 ratio in this classroom. Our program is designed to help your child through the stages of potty training. Our goal is to have all children potty trained before transitioning to our preschool classroom. Our teachers do a great job of keep these busy movers engaged!

Skill Builders / Kindergarten Connection Program:

Many of our children attend full-time, but we also offer part-time programs. Our pre-kindergarten teachers have many years of experience and follow the recommended guidelines to ensure your child is prepared for their educational journey. Our lead teachers for these programs have many years of experience working with children. We have an excellent curriculum that teaches children learning techniques through engaging activities such as Giggle Bytes, Fit Kids and Little Einsteins. These programs enhance children’s knowledge in computers, gross motor skills and science. We offer an extension of our pre-kindergarten classroom for our 5-year-old children so that they may be ready to attend public school kindergarten. Children may also attend this classroom part-time if they are already enrolled at one of our nearby neighborhood elementary schools.

School-Age Program:

During the year, we provide many activities, including art and crafts, snack time, reading and homework time.
