I’m happy to share some information with you about this wonderful Commerce, CA daycare center! My name is Lorraine and I am the school Director at the Commerce Childtime. I have six years of experience as a teacher and 10 years of experience at the management level.
Here at Childtime, we are one big family. We provide a high quality educational experience every day in a nurturing environment which helps every child at our school feel special.
The majority of our teachers have been with us for several years and more than half of them have over five years of experience. All of our staff is CPR and First-Aid certified and they participate in ongoing trainings to ensure they are up to date in all areas of child care and development. Our teachers believe that every day is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our children and we are honored that you have welcomed us into your child’s educational journey.
Safety is also of the utmost importance to us, so our Commerce daycare is equipped with a keypad at the front entrance. Only our parents and staff have an access code. All visitors must be let in by a member of management and we always check identification for anyone we don’t recognize.

Our Programs
At Childtime, we believe children learn best when they’re actively engaged. That’s why The Empowered Child™ curriculum – developed by our team of education experts – gives children the guidance and the freedom to construct their own body of knowledge in ways most meaningful to them.
The Empowered Child™ is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning and is based on the work of respected child development/early education theorists Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson and Lev Vygotsky.
Infant Program:
We have caring and nurturing infant teachers. Our open door policy allows for parent visitations throughout the day. Personal cribs, separate areas for changing and feeding, and a “no-uncovered-shoes” policy, ensure clean playing, eating and sleeping spaces. A part-time program is available.
Beginning Steps / Exploration Station / Early Learners Program:
Our toddler room was recently remodeled and includes new learning materials, furniture and equipment! Within our homelike environment, your toddler is free to be anything from an artist to an engineer. Playing “pretend,” learning games, participating in hands-on activities – these are just a few of the ways we keep kids engaged. Enrichment programs include ABC Music & Me. A part-time program is available.
Skill Builders / Kindergarten Connection Program:
Our Preschool and Pre-K programs provide challenging and fun learning activities. Our highly-trained teachers have several years of experience in early education. Our children are engaged in educational and exciting classroom activities that prepare them for the social and academic expectations of kindergarten, as well as foster a love of learning. We offer a program that benefits our children for a lifetime! Enrichment programs include ABC Music & Me. Part-time programs are available.

We wanted you to know how appreciative we have been of Childtime over the last 1.5 years. All the teachers and staff have been loving, nurturing and caring. We have found that there are some things unique to Childtime which have made it that much more special of a place. Childtime is one of the few learning centers that provides two hot meals already included in the tuition price, along with two snacks. In addition, the tuition is remarkably reasonable. Also, we love the fact that there are activities planned throughout the whole day, not just for one small portion of the morning with the rest considered “daycare” time. Much of the curriculum really is planned based on looking at the world through the child’s eyes. For instance, even the photos of families are at their eye level, not just on some board that they cannot see. And, getting a note at the end of the day as to how our child’s day went is incredibly informative. Our favorite part of the program is all of the pictures we get, almost on a weekly basis, of our child enjoying himself, laughing and playing and learning. That is priceless.
