Why Us
Because we have The Empowered Child curriculum, our warm and friendly environment and our clean and inviting facility, we exemplify the tools for success at any age. Our school provides a well-balanced curriculum implemented by a group of very talented teachers. Our children are in an environment that is safe, fun and nurturing! We believe that teaching should also be fun, so our staff personally plans a variety of events that make our families want to return week after week. We are actively involved in our community, but most important, with our children.
Our Programs
At Childtime, we believe children learn best when they’re actively engaged. That’s why The Empowered Child™ curriculum ― developed by our team of education experts ― gives children the guidance and the freedom to construct their own body of knowledge in ways most meaningful to them.
The Empowered Child™ is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning and is based on the work of respected child development/early education theorists Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson and Lev Vygotsky.
Infant Program/Two’s Program:
We take great pride in our environment, staff, programs and most importantly, the loving care that we provide each child in our school. We know that parents want their child to be safe and happy, but to also participate in programs that encourage creative exploration and discovery. We understand how precious your baby is and that choosing a child care provider can be one of the most challenging decisions a parent faces. To show you how we accomplish these goals every day, listed our some features of our program.
- Personal, individualized infant care
- Safe, sanitary, home-like environment
- Educational toys, activities and games
- Literacy and phonics exercises
- Music and movement activities encourage muscle development
- Special cribs equipped with items from home
- Scheduled time exploring the outdoors
- Caretaker and routine consistency
Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Program:
One look at a Kindergarten classroom and families notice that there are many more kids, and only one teacher. Some families worry that their child will not be prepared to be in such a large group. At Childtime, we prepare children for Kindergarten class sizes by focusing on their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Teachers promote children’s self-help, problem solving, and interpersonal skills every day when they:
- Teach different ways to handle conflicts with other children including choosing another activity, problem-solving with another child, or finding another copy of the same toy
- Build children’s confidence as they invite children to create different art work and talk about how they are different
- Provide materials at children’s level, promoting self-help skills
- Give children opportunities to work in small groups with other children, teaching them that they can ask peers for help and not just the teacher
Transitioning to Kindergarten can be a big adjustment for a child. By focusing on children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development we know that your child will be well-prepared for this change.
Skill Builders / Kindergarten Connection Program:
We offer a fantastic curriculum all year. During the summer, we are enhancing the preschool and pre-kindergarten curriculum with a literacy program. The children will be completing a total of eight books. They will participate in activities that will make the books more tangible so they can experience the stories! In addition to this fun exploration, they will learn how to identify an author, illustrator and main character. During the school year, our curriculum helps children develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they’ll need to succeed in kindergarten, school and life. Teachers plan lessons to deepen understanding of basic academic concepts through exploration, investigation and play.
School-Age Program:
During the school year, we focus on providing homework support for our school-age children. During the summer, they will be out on field trips, and when they aren’t out of the building, they will be brushing up on their reading skills! Our literacy program will encourage them to work in small groups reading quietly and aloud to their peers. They will do activities to help them learn about the illustrator, author, main characters and plot.
We transport to the following area schools:
- Endeavor
- Excel Charter
- Dutton
- Crosscreek

Testimonials
As a full time working parent, my mind is set at ease knowing my daughter is in the wonderful hands at Childtime. The teachers are fantastic, the curriculum is outstanding, and the communication is great. My daughter has learned so much and truly adores the center, her friends, and her teachers.

Our son’s development is off the charts. We credit the dedicated teachers and staff at Childtime for that. Cameron enjoys his days at school and we know from his daily activity reports as well as by his behaviors that he is learning not only educationally, but behaviorally.

Early childhood education is important to me, so Childtime is an excellent choice for our family. Elijah learns so much while he’s at daycare, so I don’t feel pressured to fill our evenings up with learning numbers, letters, or shapes, we can just relax and play together. I really admire the unique and creative methods the teachers use through social interaction, tactile experiences, engaging all the senses, etc – while sticking to a daily routine.
