Pre-Kindergarten + Kindergarten Prep (4-5 years)

The Empowered Child Curriculum

Pre-k age girl

The Empowered Child™ curriculum at Childtime was designed by early education specialists and follows the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practice set forth by national accrediting associations and Common Core Standards for Kindergarten. This educational child care program helps children develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they'll need to succeed in kindergarten, school and life.

Kindergarten is an exciting step for children and parents alike. At Childtime educational daycare, much of what we have done in previous years has all been leading up to it. For children age 4-5, it's even more important.

The Pre-K classroom at each of our Childtime schools is designed to help your child make significant developmental gains, like communicating successfully, and working well both independently and in groups. Our highly trained teachers will prepare your child for Kindergarten and life beyond.

Building on Preschool learning, your child will experience learning by:

  • Strengthening Reading Skills
  • Practicing Writing Letters and Words
  • Developing Math Skills
  • Getting Ready for School

Kindergarten Prep Enhancement
In addition to the skills they'll learn in Pre-K, students can build on specific Kindergarten skills with the K-Prep enhancement.

K-Prep includes:

  • Extra Reading and Math
  • Extended Seat Work
  • Handwriting with Proper Grip
  • Letter Formation

Kindergarten Prep is designed to help children who will be starting Kindergarten directly after Pre-K in the fall.
