5 and 6 year olds are eager students. They want to explore, investigate, discover and absorb just about everything they encounter. Everything about Childtime’s® Private Kindergarten Program continues to promote the joy and wonder children have about their world, while providing an academic program that will prepare them for their transition to first grade.
To best prepare your child for success throughout their school career—and life beyond—our Private Kindergarten program includes:
A comprehensive reading program proven by a Gold Standard Study* to significantly boost student achievement. Journeys® provides a dynamic, balanced literacy approach and integrated language arts program that addresses the needs of all students including English language learners, emerging, on-level and advanced readers.
Developed by the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project, Everyday Mathematics® is used by over 4.3 million students across all 50 states. Widely considered to be the most trusted elementary math program in the country, this comprehensive program teaches basic and conceptual thinking using research-based, field-tested strategies and a hands-on approach that focuses on developing children’s understandings and skills in ways that produce life-long mathematical power.
This unique program was developed by an occupational therapist and is specifically designed to help kindergarten children learn how to form letters. The goal of Handwriting Without Tears® is to make handwriting an easy and automatic skill for all students. In fact, research studies have shown that this program improves student’s letter size, letter spacing and overall legibility.
Our Private Kindergarten Program introduces a more formal education while continuing to promote the joy and wonder children have about their world. Aligned with national and state standards, we balance structure and subject-focus with exploration and fun. Low student/teacher ratios allow Childtime’s teachers to spend quality time with each child. And a small, secure environment provides a sense of belonging. Your child will love coming to school and you’ll love how much your child learns.
