Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Childtime, an educational daycare in Waldorf, MD! My name is Linysha and I am the school's director. I have been working in early childhood education since 2008 and have my degree in early childhood development. Our combined staff experience is well over 180 years. Our teachers receive ongoing monthly training and all of them are First Aid and CPR certified.

Whether it's in our Infant Care or Preschool programs, I love interacting with families and seeing the children grow and develop into lifetime learners. My staff and I enjoy the personal relationships we develop with parents and children and truly feel like an extension of their family. We value the relationships we have with our families and work hard to involve them. We offer monthly family events and encourage volunteers in the classroom.

We take safety and security very seriously. Our front door is code-accessible only and each child must be signed in and out daily by authorized persons.

Linysha Johnson, Director

Education: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development

Certifications: Director Certified, Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and School-Age Certified

I began my journey at Childtime in 2009 as an assistant teacher and moved up throughout my years. I have a passion for being a part of a child's growth and development at every age level. As the director, my goal is to provide a safe, nurturing and educational environment for young children.

Ana Baker, Assistant Director

Education: Bachelors' Degree in Biology / Chemistry

Certifications: Director Certified in the State of Maryland, Medication Administration, First Aid & CPR

I have been in the childcare field for the last seven years. I started off as an aide and worked my way to director all while taking many early education courses along the way. I have a huge passion for children, which is evident in my full of life spirit. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my godchildren, traveling the world for new experiences and I'm currently pursuing a masters in education. I am excited for the new experiences and the journey to come with Childtime.
