Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Childtime, our wonderful educational daycare in Hanover, MD! My name is Kim and I am the school director. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and special education along with more than 15 years of early childhood experience.

Drawing from my background, I can truly say we offer the best Infant Care and Private Preschool in Anne Arundel County. If you're looking for School-Age Care, we provide service to some of our local elementary schools.

We have new technology in our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms! Children have iPads with educational apps, plus, our Preschool class has an Inspire Plus interactive table and our Pre-K class features a STEAM Studio with learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts, and Math. For our School-Age classroom, we have iPads, tripods for movie making, robots for coding and more! We also have an indoor gym area called our Grow Fit room for gross motor times when weather does not permit outside time.

Our teachers have nearly 200 years of combined experience. Ongoing staff training is conducted, and our teachers are CPR and First Aid certified. Safety is also a priority of ours. The main entrance is secured by a unique keypad access system and we ID everyone that enters.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Minor in Special Education

Certifications: CPR/First Aid, ADA, Medication Administration, Emergency Preparedness

I have a passion for children and love promoting their growth and development. I have more than 18 years of early childhood experience. I love playing board games and spending time with my daughters, family and friends.

Taylor Shifflett, Assistant Director

Education: Pursuing Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education

Certifications: 90 Hour Preschool, 45 Hour Infant and Toddler, First Aid/CPR, ADA

I have worked in Childcare for 14 years and have had the pleasure of working with children young as eight weeks old to the age of 12. I love to help every child reach their milestones and achieve their goals. I'm all about arts and crafts, spending time with my family and friends and being at the beach as much as I can!
