Welcome to Our School

Childtime on Floyd Avenue has welcomed Modesto families since August 2007. Our daycare and preschool sits near Orchard Park, Brewers Rose Park, and Elizabeth Ustach Middle School, in Modesto, California. Our staff hold CPR and First Aid certifications.

Families can choose from Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before and After School Care. Flexible daycare is available through Drop-in Care, Part-time schedules, and School Breaks. We gladly accept third-party assistance; our team can answer questions on tour. Our summer camp, Wondercamp, offers Wonders of Color, Wonders of Invention, and outdoor play. In infant classrooms, Learn from the Start® turns talking and singing into learning, and Learn as We Grow® for Toddlers through Pre-K connects play with big ideas such as Community, like Pre-K children creating and racing wind-powered machines.

Enrichment options include Grow Fit Yoga, which gives children yoga poses and cooperative games to enjoy together, and Spotlight on Phonics, which helps children learn early literacy skills to share stories at home. Find each option on this page. Bussing is available with Freedom Elementary School, Mary Ann Sanders Elementary School, and Orchard Elementary School, along with other schools we can share on tour. Our outdoor playground is divided by age, so children play with peers. Through SproutAbout®, our mobile app, you see real-time photos, video, and care updates, plus livestreaming video.

Hi, I’m Sonja, the Director of Childtime on Floyd Avenue. I began my career in child care at age 18 and have been with Childtime since 1998. Over the years, I’ve served as a Lead Teacher, Team Lead, Director, and Specialist. I’m happy to be back home as the Director of Childtime on Floyd Avenue!

The classroom is designed with everything teachers need at their fingertips, so they can stay by your baby’s side. Sensory pools and mats, activity gyms, and other age-appropriate toys and materials engage all five senses, inspiring curiosity and exploration in a safe space.
