Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Childtime in Southfield, MI! My name is Melissa and I am the school director. I have a master's of science degree in early childhood studies and more than 15 years of experience in early childhood. Whether it's providing care for Infants or participating in activities in our Preschool programs, I take pride in being a part of the life and development of every child we care for. Our staff has 150 years of combined experience in the field.

We value families and offer a variety of opportunities for them to be involved. We also offer parent-teacher conferences twice a year to discuss developmental progress in a more personal setting.

This school has a wonderful staff. Ms, Joyce, Ms. Rachel, Ms. Melissa, Ms. Beverly, and Ms. Frederika are the ones who I consider to be the leads of the school. School director, Ms. Melissa, sets clear expectations and her team executes them completely. They are guiding the new team members in an exemplary manner and overall the entire staff does a wonderful job.

Education: M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Walden University; B.S. in Child Development from Central Michigan University

Certifications: First Aid and CPR Infant, Child, and Adult; Coursework Completed Towards Teaching Adults; Post Masters Certificate

My passion for learning and making a positive impact in the lives of young children make being a director at Childtime a dream job! I enjoy watching our children grow and develop. Establishing and maintaining a relationship with our families and community neighbors is very important to me.
