Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Childtime of Colonie, where we have cared for children since September 1993. Our daycare and preschool is in Albany, New York, near Saddlewood Elementary School, Kohl's, and Aldi. We serve families from Schenectady.

We care for Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, and Pre-K, from 6 weeks to 5 years. We offer NY Universal Pre-K (NYS UPK), a state-funded program. Learn from the Start® builds infant learning through loving relationships, and Learn as We Grow® for Toddlers through Pre-K keeps learning playful and age-appropriate, like toddlers discovering patterns in songs and first/then routines.

Multi-Sports lets children try different sports and practice teamwork, and Spotlight on Kindergarten supports kindergarten readiness with essential skills. Want the whole list? Our enrichments are on this page. SproutAbout®, our family app, shares real-time photos, video, and care updates, and livestreaming video lets you peek into the classroom. Here, children build confidence, independence, and social skills that help them thrive. Our teachers are experienced and nurturing, and they help each child feel loved and supported.

Healthy meals and snacks are the standard here, and encouragement to try new foods is part of the routine. Our team treats safety as the foundation of a good day, supported by thorough health and safety standards. Come tour Childtime of Colonie at 28 Vly Road, Albany, NY 12205, and meet our teachers.
