Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Childtime in Huntington Beach, CA! We are proud to have served families in the Surf City community for more than 30 years.

Our dedicated team brings nearly 100 years of combined experience with Childtime, and many of our staff members have been part of our school for more than five years. In fact, one of our teachers has been with us for an incredible 35 years. We are honored to serve families throughout Orange County and provide a warm, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

We offer programs for Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, Pre-K, and School-Age children, helping build a strong foundation for lifelong learning through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.

We’re committed to keeping you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. Through our exclusive family app, SproutAbout, you can access live-streaming classroom video and receive real-time updates, photos, and messages.

Maryjoy Hilsabeck, Director

Education: Early Childhood Credentials AA and Site Supervisor Permit

Certifications: Mandated Reporting, Site Supervisor, Professional Growth Advisor, First Aid CPR and AED, 2024 Southern Ca Director of the Year Leadership Award

With more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education and administration, I have dedicated my career to creating nurturing learning environments and fostering a lifelong love of learning. I believe compassion, understanding, kindness, and honesty are essential qualities for educators and leaders. As the Childtime Director, I am proud to support children, families, and teachers while helping build a strong, caring, and successful school community.

I am passionate about helping children grow in their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and trusting environment where every child can thrive and every family feels welcomed and supported.
