Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Childtime of Macomb Township, a nurturing daycare, childcare, and preschool center serving children 6 weeks–12 years. We proudly serve families in the Macomb, New Haven, and Shelby Township communities. Our school recently received an award for Educational Excellence and is nationally accredited by NAEYC, in addition to being a 5-Star Quality Rated program.

Our programs include Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, Pre-K, Before- and After-School Clubs, and Summer Camp, with full-time and part-time care options. We provide Before- and After-School care, along with bus transportation to and from Beck Elementary in the Utica district and Sequoyah Elementary in the Chippewa Valley district. We are proud to partner with the state of Michigan to offer the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) and we also offer enrichments such as Spanish, Soccer, Phonics, and Yoga.

Our staff brings over 300 years of combined experience, and our teachers are CPR and First Aid certified. Our experienced, nurturing educators create a warm environment where every child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Families love the strong sense of community here, where teachers, children, and parents feel genuinely connected. And your child will love our indoor gross motor room—full of space to climb, move, and explore, including a kid-friendly rock wall!

Overall my experience with the school has been great. The director and teachers are pleasant and make an effort to know who I am and who my child is, even if we are not in their class. I also really enjoy the app that updates me on when my child has eaten, used the potty and napped as well as the camera system that allows me to pop online and check him out during the day.

Jeanette Helman, Director

Education: Equivalent of Associate's Degree in Early Childhood

Certifications: CPR and First Aid

I have a deep passion for children and their education. I love watching the growth and development of each child who comes through our doors. Partnering with parents and teachers to help every child learn and reach their fullest potential is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I have been at this location since 2008 and I’ve been with the company since 1999. It has truly been an honor to grow alongside so many wonderful children, families, and educators over the years.

I have worked at our center since 2011! I was the Infant 2 Lead Teacher, helping our littles ones learn and grow. I was also our center’s Team Lead, serving as a resource and mentor to all of our teachers in how to create a successful classrooms! I have now been able to use my skills to help all staff and families as the assistant director!
