Welcome to Childtime of Herndon, VA! My name is Samantha Barrett, our center's director. I have over 11 years of experience in early Childhood Education and have performed as a School Leader for more than five years. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school and all of the great programs we have to offer!

We are so much more than a daycare! Our center offers premiere early education programs, including Infant Care, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K options. Our childcare programs are designed to provide the perfect foundation for learning and development for your child. Here, your child will be engaged in educational activities that take place in a secure, caring and enriching environment.

Samantha Barrett, Director

Education: Interdisciplinary Studies Degree with a focus on Education, Psychology and Fine Art

Certifications: BLS, CPR/First Aid, MAT, DHO, Bloodborne Pathogen

I have a background in education that spans from early education to elementary education. I began my career as a teacher, followed as a curriculum specialist and school education manager in the ECE field for 10 years before becoming a director. I believe a child’s early years are the foundation for future development, providing a strong base for lifelong learning and it's important to find the perfect fit for your child. It is a honor to care for your family and instill the love of learning.

Shana Whitney, Assistant Director

Education: Degree in Criminal Justice, Child Development Associate (CDA)

Certifications: CPR/First Aid, MAT, DHO

I have 20 years of experience in the early childhood field. Before becoming an assistant director, I spent many years as a teacher, team lead and childcare administrator. Forming strong connections with children and families, ensuring children are safe and happy is my goal. I believe there is nothing more rewarding than watching children learn and grow. Every stage of their development is a new adventure and seeing them reach their milestones is remarkable.
