Welcome to Childtime in Southfield, MI! My name is Melissa and I am the school director. I have a masters of science degree in early childhood studies and more than 10 years of experience in early childhood. Whether it's providing care for Infants or participating in activities in our Preschool programs, I take pride in being a part of the life and development of every child we care for. Our staff has 150 years of combined experience in the field.
We value families and offer a variety of opportunities for them to be involved. We also offer parent-teacher conferences twice a year to discuss developmental progress in a more personal setting.
Safety and security are a priority. In response to the current pandemic, we have improved our health and safety policies to include health and temperature checks for everyone that enters our school. Our teaching and support team are required to wear cloth facial coverings while indoors and to socially distance from the children and other staff members outdoors when facial coverings may be taken down. We are also taking extra measures to clean and sanitize high touch points and surfaces throughout the day. We have also removed equipment from our environment that cannot be easily sanitized on a daily basis.
During these uncertain times we have also increased our focus on providing care and education to families of school-age children. We are pleased to introduce Prep Lab, a program that allows us to provide educational and social support to children enrolled in virtual learning experiences through their elementary or junior high school.
At our school, you'll also love staying connected with your child all day long through our mobile app. Get real-time updates via text and email, so you don't miss a single moment. We are also proud to introduce WatchMeGrow, an app that allows you to see your child's main classroom and daily activities in real-time, which is coming soon!
We invite you to schedule a tour of our Childtime!
