Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Childtime in Yorktown, VA!

We are not a typical daycare; we are a learning center! In addition to providing superior Infant Care, our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs offer the best early education in the community! We are happy to serve our Kiln Creek Community and surrounding areas of Yorktown, Poquoson, and Newport News. Together, our teachers have over 125 years of early education experience.

We offer updated technology in our Preschool, Pre-K, and School-Age classes! Preschool and Pre-K children have iPads with educational apps and games. Also, our Preschool class has an Inspire Plus interactive table and Pre-K has a STEAM Workshop with learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. For School-Age, we have iPads, tripods for moviemaking, robots for coding and more!

We have both interior and exterior cameras and our main entry is equipped with a security system. Only those who are authorized are able to enter with a special code. We also include diapers and wipes for infants, toddlers and twos.

I think Childtime and I share a philosophy about education and compassion. I am very satisfied with how well my child has been handled and taught since 12 weeks of age. He gets exposure that he probably wouldn’t have gotten otherwise (sign language as an infant, kids’ music and videos as a toddler) and he loves it. He talks about his friends and teachers and enjoys going to school every day.
